Immigrants from African continent constitute the largest portion of the growing population in America. The familiarization process into this new environment becomes a challenging and daunting task for many immigrants, both new and old. Navigating and adjusting through the numerous and unprecedented challenges such as mental, social & psychological instabilities, education, employment, depression, and feeling home sick become a singular journey.
AFRISS was established in 2017 to help African immigrants people mitigate life’s challenges and adjust to them. AFRISS has a singular duty to improve lives and serve anyone who seeks our help irrespective of race, ethnicity or origin. While we continue to focus on refugee and immigrant communities across Chicagoland, we open our doors to welcome everyone.
